Job Requirements

  • High school education or GED preferred
  • entry level with 1-2 years experience or eagerness to start a warehouse career
  • ability to lift 75 pounds using proper techniques
  • ability to use hands and feet simultaneously for repetitive movements
  • commitment to safety procedures
  • willingness to follow directions and comply with OSHA standards
  • flexibility to perform a wide array of warehousing duties

Job Qualifications

  • High school education or GED preferred
  • 1-2 years of warehouse or distribution experience preferred
  • OSHA forklift certification is a plus
  • HAZMAT certification is a plus
  • experience operating material handling equipment such as reach trucks and order pickers is a plus
  • ability to follow safety procedures
  • ability to lift up to 75 pounds using proper techniques
  • capable of repetitive use of hands and feet simultaneously
  • strong attention to detail
  • good communication skills
  • ability to work independently and as part of a team

Job Duties

  • Unload trucks, trailers, and containers of freight
  • count products and verify shipment manifests
  • report shortages, damages, and mis-shipments
  • sign for inbound shipments when necessary
  • safely store and stack merchandise in designated locations
  • pick correct products according to order specifications
  • transport orders using material handling equipment
  • label, tag, and palletize orders
  • verify outbound shipment details for accuracy
  • load products into trailers, rail cars, or containers
  • maintain and clean equipment
  • operate equipment safely and efficiently
  • comply with OSHA and company safety standards
  • keep accurate inventory records and assist with physical inventories
  • ensure proper stock rotation
  • repack and re-box cases
  • repair and consolidate damaged goods
  • operate shrink-wrap and battery charging equipment
  • clean railcars, trailers, docks, and bays
  • perform other duties as assigned
