Job Requirements

  • Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel
  • Ability to frequently sit, stand, walk, reach within hands and arm's length, push, pull, stoop, kneel, and crouch
  • Ability to lift and/or move 50 pounds, and up to 100 pounds
  • Specific vision requirements include close vision and color vision
  • Ability to work from a standing position for extended periods
  • Ability to work around hot heavy machinery
  • Ability to work in an open warehouse environment subject to seasonal weather (hot/cold)
  • Valid Texas Driver's License
  • Must have 2+ years of shipping experience in manufacturing/warehouse setting
  • Forklift, standup, sit-down experience
  • Knowledge of FedEx or UPS systems
  • Familiarity with inventory and scales
  • Good communication skills
  • Follow oral and written instructions and prints
  • Multitask and self-motivated

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • One to three years related experience and/or training
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Forklift, standup, sit-down experience
  • Knowledge of FedEx or UPS systems
  • Familiarity with inventory management and scales
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions and prints
  • Multitasking and self-motivated

Job Duties

  • Shipping and loading trucks - checks identification, reports shortages or damage, moves, stores, stacks, and arranges
  • Receives and unloads freight manually or with equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks
  • Unloads, moves, and stores a variety of materials, parts, or products using standardized procedures for inventory transfer
  • Identifies, records, and organizes like parts together
  • Assists in weighing or counting materials
  • Maintains inventory records, performs inventory adjustments, ship confirmations, receiving tally, and scrap entry
  • Performs cycle counts and related duties
  • Operates power lift truck, hand truck, dolly, or other devices
  • May back up shipping clerk by printing shippers and preparing bills of lading
  • Wears proper personal protective equipment (PPE) for each task
  • Fills in for other positions when needed
  • Performs other related duties as directed
