Job Requirements

  • High school degree or GED or equivalent
  • Ability to obtain forklift license through Highline Warren
  • Physical strength necessary to move and lift heavy materials
  • Familiarity with warehouse safety procedures
  • Ability to safely operate powered industrial trucks and material handling equipment
  • Ability to use handheld computer units
  • Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations
  • Ability to understand written instructions and complete documentation
  • Good problem solving skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively

Job Qualifications

  • High school degree or GED, or any satisfactory combination of education and experience that demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the above duties
  • Ability to obtain forklift license through Highline Warren
  • Experience with material handling machinery and warehouse operations is highly desirable
  • Familiarity with warehouse work environment and applicable safety procedures
  • Ability to safely operate powered industrial trucks such as forklifts and high lift trucks
  • Ability to use handheld computer units to access warehouse management system
  • Ability to accurately perform basic arithmetic operations
  • Strong problem solving capabilities
  • Ability to follow written instructions and complete documentation accurately
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Attention to detail and pursuit of quality in work tasks

Job Duties

  • Safely use powered industrial trucks and other machinery to efficiently transport materials and products
  • Use the companys warehouse management system to accurately record movement of materials and products
  • Safely and efficiently load and unload trailers, shelves, racks, and pallets
  • Accurately inventory materials and product
  • Weigh materials and products and record weight on tags, labels, and production schedules
  • Conduct daily safety check off sheets on material handling equipment
  • Recharge batteries and fill fuel tanks
  • Maintain good housekeeping and regularly clean work area, machines, and equipment
  • Identify and contribute to continuous improvement efforts to reduce costs or increase productivity without reducing effectiveness
  • Maintain an open and candid working relationship with immediate supervisor or manager
  • Adhere to established company values, practices, policies, and procedures at all times
  • Follow and support compliance with all applicable safety rules, laws, regulations, and standards
  • Demonstrate regular and punctual attendance at the assigned work location
