Job Duties
- Operate all PIT equipment per OSHA specifications including daily inspections and changing batteries or propane tanks
- perform final quality inspection of all products produced ensuring correct packaging, labels, and sealing prior to placement on stretch wrapper
- operate all stretch wrap machines within defined specifications independently
- operate and maintain label printer ensuring correct product information, color, date, and time with sufficient rolls of labels
- ensure staging areas are clean, organized, and per specifications throughout the shift
- relieve other material handler personnel during breaks and meal periods
- perform housekeeping functions necessary to business operations including daily shift requirements and plant sanitation audits
- maintain a clean and safe work area and report unsafe conditions to supervisor
- adhere to all safety policies, including wearing required PPE and setting an example for others
- report any major quality or food safety issues to supervisor
- perform additional duties as assigned
