This role is with a military logistics and transportation unit specializing in the coordination and movement of personnel and cargo for deployment operations. Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • familiarity with military deployment processes
  • knowledge of hazardous materials regulations and clearances
  • ability to use Integrated Computerized Deployment System (ICODES)
  • capability to attend briefings and coordinate with various military transportation offices
  • experience or ability to perform cargo loading and passenger processing
  • completion of Air Mobility Operations (AMO) Course
  • operation of 10K forklift
  • ability to perform Preventive Maintenance Checks and Services (PMCS)

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • experience in military transportation or logistics preferred
  • ability to operate forklifts including 10K forklifts
  • completion of relevant military logistics or transportation training
  • knowledge of hazardous materials handling and compliance
  • proficiency in using deployment and tracking systems such as ICODES, GDDS, and SMS
  • strong communication and coordination skills
  • ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines

Job Duties

  • coordinate and control the movement of military service members through staged departure points of aircraft transport
  • complete Aircraft Load Plans using Integrated Computerized Deployment System (ICODES)
  • review unit Air Load Plans with Diplomatic Clearance for HAZMAT to ensure compliance with weight authorizations
  • coordinate processing and loading of personnel and cargo based on deployment plans and aircraft schedules
  • attend meetings and briefings with Installation Transportation Office (ITO), Mobility Control Center (MCC), Ground Liaison Office (GLO) and other officials
  • perform cargo and passenger dispatch duties
  • maintain cargo aircraft status board and tracking systems
  • receive air mission set-ups and relay information on cargo and passenger movements
  • monitor deploying units' movement timetable and complete Wheels Up/Down Report to FORSCOM
  • utilize Global Decision Support System (GDDS) and Single Mobility System (SMS) for mission tracking
  • coordinate deployment and redeployment information with relevant offices
  • complete the AMO Course
  • perform required Preventive Maintenance Checks and Services (PMCS)
  • operate a 10K forklift in support of missions
