Job Requirements

  • Masters degree
  • Ability to obtain Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment
  • Ability to obtain Nonviolent Crisis Intervention certification within 30 days of employment
  • Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to facilitate group therapy sessions
  • Willingness to work on a PRN/per diem basis

Job Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in a relevant field
  • Ability to conduct therapeutic counseling using evidence-based interventions
  • Experience working with psychiatric or behavioral health patients preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification required within 30 days of employment
  • Nonviolent Crisis Intervention certification required within 30 days of employment

Job Duties

  • Conduct one-on-one, group, and family psychoeducational and process groups
  • Develop treatment plans and attend treatment planning meetings and reviews on an ongoing basis
  • Assess environment and patient’s safety status and report/respond to actual and potential safety issues or changes in the patient’s condition
  • Identify risk factors, screening criteria, and interventions for patients with special precautions such as suicide, homicide, falls, elopement
  • Complete assessments, group notes, and all other documentation promptly and in compliance with requirements
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to assess and coordinate patients’ discharge planning needs and readiness for discharge
  • Conduct post-discharge follow-up as indicated
