Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience as a baker or pastry chef in a commercial kitchen
  • proven ability to prepare banquet-style desserts for large groups
  • ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • strong attention to detail and time management skills
  • good communication and teamwork abilities
  • willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a similar baking role within an independent restaurant or hotel environment
  • strong creativity and an eye for detail in decoration and presentation
  • excellent organizational skills and ability to work quickly and precisely
  • ability to assist with high volume banquet dessert execution
  • knowledge of health and safety regulations in food handling
  • proven ability to support and guide kitchen team members
  • passion, dedication, and willingness to learn and progress

Job Duties

  • Follow standardized recipes for all banquet desserts, ensuring product quality and standards
  • prepare all required banquet and outlet desserts according to the provided specifications
  • ensure desserts are completed and ready for delivery in a timely order
  • perform daily inventory checks of all core baking ingredients and products
  • support Sous Chefs oversee team performance and daily task completion
  • provide guidance and support as needed to ensure a smooth and efficient operation
  • ensure all food handling procedures align with health and safety standards
  • maintain a clean and organized workstation while enforcing sanitation protocols
