Job Requirements

  • hold Mashgiach certification
  • adhere to all orthodox Jewish laws
  • have experience with kosher kitchen operations
  • be proficient in OU kosher standards
  • demonstrate ability to manage inventory and food safety standards
  • maintain high sanitation standards
  • be punctual and reliable

  • must adhere to all orthodox Jewish laws
  • proficiency in the laws of running a kosher kitchen (OU Standards)
  • ability to check all incoming orders to ensure they are kosher
  • ability to multitask and be aware of all kitchen activities simultaneously
  • professional approach to dealing with kashrus issues
  • punctuality
  • culinary skills a plus

Job Duties

  • Supervise and participate in the production, preparation, and presentation of all foods for assigned units as directed by the Aramark Executive Chef
  • ensure a sufficient inventory is maintained to meet daily needs, record deliveries, deal with discrepancies, and assist with storage
  • ensure proper handling of all food products and equipment to ensure food safety and kitchen standards are adhered to at all times
  • ensure cleanliness and high sanitation standards are maintained at all times
  • interview, schedule, train, develop, empower, coach and counsel staff, resolve problems, provide open communication, recommend discipline as appropriate
  • handle kashrus issues professionally and promptly
  • provide assistance in the kitchen when available and needed
