Job Requirements
- must be 18 years of age
- valid photo identification
- reliable transportation to and from the ballpark
- ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays during the baseball season
- must have a healthy fitness level
- must be reliable and punctual
- must have good listening skills
- ability to work well in a team
- must be patient and comfortable working with children and crowds
- willingness to dedicate a large percentage of time to Mets schedule
Job Qualifications
- ability to dedicate significant time including nights, weekends, and holidays during the baseball season
- healthy fitness level to run every game night and perform stunts in costume
- reliability, punctuality, courtesy, and strong listening skills
- ability to work well as part of a team and carry individual responsibilities
- confidence and comfort in escorting mascots and interacting with fans
- patience and ease working with children and large crowds
- effective communication skills to promote and explain the Amazin' Mets Foundation
- reliable transportation to and from Citi Field
- minimum age of 18 with valid photo ID
Job Duties
- interact with fans through meet and greets and autograph sessions
- race every home game night as a runner during the 5 Borough Mascot Race
- participate in occasional T-shirt launches and crowd rallies
- escort mascots safely throughout Citi Field during games
- represent the Amazin' Mets Foundation by fundraising and educating fans
- communicate the mission and programs of the Amazin' Mets Foundation to fans
- perform other duties as assigned by the New York Mets
