Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous hotel sales experience preferred
  • valid driver’s license for the applicable state
  • developed verbal and written communication skills
  • experience with professional selling skills
  • proficiency in Microsoft Office products
  • ability to work independently and simultaneously manage multiple tasks
  • strong organization and presentation skills

Job Duties

  • Effectively attain assigned sales and revenue goals as well as solicitation call goals
  • Proactively conduct solicitation calls conduct sales tours and entertain clients specific to Leisure SMERF Business Travel and/or Groups as applicable by property
  • Grow existing relationships with assigned accounts specific to Leisure SMERF Business Travel and/or Groups as applicable by property
  • Monitor and evaluate trends within your market segment
  • Approach all encounters with guests and employees in an attentive friendly courteous and service-oriented manner
  • Adhere to company established regulations standards sales standards and sales metrics
  • Develop a full working knowledge of the operations and policies of the hotel and applicable departments
  • Maintain strong visibility in local community and industry organizations as applicable
  • Assist in implementing and/or participating in special promotions relating to direct sales segments such as sales blitzes
  • Attend daily weekly monthly meetings and any other functions required by management
  • Perform any other duties as requested by General Manager or Director of Sales
  • Access to back of house areas of the hotel and sensitive information
  • Interact and occasionally have unsupervised contact with guests and/or colleagues
  • Access and control to sensitive areas in the hotel premises including the Hotel Safe Master Keys and/or guestrooms Storage/Liquor Room and secured file cabinets
  • Drive safely on behalf of the company for business reasons
  • Maintain a high level of trust and responsibility
  • Represent the company with a certain level of reputation and good character as well as exercise sound judgement
