Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year progressive experience in a hotel or related field required
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • College coursework in hospitality or related field is a plus
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred
  • Alcohol awareness certification must comply with state regulations
  • Excellent communication, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and demonstrate initiative
  • Strong proficiency in financial tasks and arithmetic

Job Duties

  • Lead the charge in setting up, servicing, and breaking down banquet events ensuring all details match the Banquet Event Orders
  • Maintain high standards in team appearance, service, and safety while ensuring compliance with policies and liquor laws
  • Rally the team, assign tasks, conduct pre-event meetings, and train new employees effectively
  • Act as liaison between Sales, Catering, and guests, resolving issues and maintaining guest satisfaction
  • Manage schedules, wage reports, inventory, and beverage service operations
  • Handle checks, paperwork, and cash transactions accurately
  • Assist with audiovisual equipment, attend meetings, support various operational tasks, manage lost and found items, and ensure security and integrity of sensitive areas
