Job Requirements

  • Five years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field with supervisory experience required
  • Two-year college degree with three or more years of related experience or four-year college degree with at least one year of related experience
  • Ability to handle stressful, high-pressure situations while maintaining composure and objectivity
  • Compliance with certification requirements including Food Handlers, Alcohol Awareness, CPR, and First Aid

Job Duties

  • Supervise and assist in food preparation, ensuring high standards of quality, taste, and presentation
  • Lead, motivate, coach, and discipline kitchen personnel to ensure efficient and high-quality food preparation and service
  • Manage food costs, budgets, and maximize cost/production ratios to optimize financial performance
  • Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and safety in kitchen, work, and storage areas in adherence to health and safety regulations
  • Anticipate and address issues proactively to ensure smooth kitchen operations
  • Clearly convey information and resolve concerns from co-workers and guests effectively
