Job Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 2 to 3 years of progressive experience in hotel or related field
- Valid driver’s license for the applicable state
- Ability to convey information and ideas clearly
- Ability to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately
- Ability to work well under stress and handle guest objections satisfactorily
- Initiative in job performance
- Ability to maintain composure under pressure
- Effective problem-solving skills
- Ability to assimilate complex information from disparate sources
- Effective listening and communication skills
- Basic financial and arithmetic skills
Job Qualifications
- At least 2 to 3 years of progressive experience in hotel or related field
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license for the applicable state
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to handle stressful situations calmly
- Problem-solving ability
- Initiative and proactive approach
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Familiarity with hotel PMS and front desk systems is preferred
- Basic financial literacy
Job Duties
- Approach all encounters with guests and associates in a friendly, service-oriented manner
- Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Aimbridge Hospitality standards
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming
- Maintain a friendly and warm demeanor at all times
- Comply with Aimbridge Hospitality standards and regulations to support safe and efficient hotel operations
- Establish and maintain good communication and teamwork with colleagues and other departments
- Monitor VIP and special guest requests and be familiar with all in-house groups
- Execute all relevant phases of the front desk computer system and checklist
- Be familiar with the hotel PMS system
- Monitor and follow up on servers/baristas/bartenders cash overages and shortages
- Enforce all Aimbridge Hospitality policies
- Ensure employees remain attentive, friendly, helpful and courteous
- Assist in staff schedule preparation aligned with business forecasts
- Support food and beverage, front desk, and housekeeping departments based on demand
- Assist in training new hires and current staff
- Help ensure associates comply with Aimbridge Hospitality standards
- Know emergency procedures and act accordingly
- Assist in monthly inventories and reconciliations
- Follow up on accidents, problems or guest complaints promptly
- Answer guest inquiries professionally and timely
- Help maintain productivity levels at or above budgeted standards
- Perform additional duties or attend training as required
- Handle cash securely and balance bank
- Interact with guests and colleagues professionally
- Access and control sensitive hotel areas responsibly
- Drive safely on company business
- Maintain high trust, responsibility, and sound judgment
- Represent the company with good character and reputation
