Job Requirements
- Lift and/or move up to approximately 50 pounds frequently
- Bending, stooping, kneeling required frequently
- Routine standing for duration of shift
- Safely maneuver hand cart, blenders, knives, slicers, wine keys and other kitchen tools
- Scheduled shifts determined by business needs
- Must be able to work in a physically demanding kitchen environment
- Availability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays
Job Qualifications
- Experience in culinary leadership or kitchen management
- Strong knowledge of cooking techniques and food safety standards
- Ability to train and mentor kitchen staff effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to manage kitchen operations and expenses
- Familiarity with federal, state, and local safety and sanitation laws
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Job Duties
- Deliver exceptional culinary experiences while following company policies, procedures, and standards
- Lead and motivate kitchen team members by promoting learning, proper cooking techniques, knife skills, time management, and accountability
- Enforce safety and sanitation programs according to federal, state, and local laws for the restaurant, employees, and guests
- Manage kitchen expenses ensuring budgetary compliance as requested
- Foster a positive and nurturing environment to support team success
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery
- Maintain inventory and order supplies to support kitchen operations
