Job Requirements

  • 3+ years of high volume culinary/hospitality experience
  • 1+ years of high volume kitchen leadership experience
  • current food handler's card and other required certifications by law
  • strong knowledge of food/restaurant service skills including all phases of food production and service
  • strong verbal and written communication skills
  • comfortable using computers including Windows, Microsoft Office, Point of Sale Systems, and Outlook Email
  • willingness to perform other duties as required

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in culinary arts, hospitality, or similar preferred
  • 3+ years of high volume culinary/hospitality experience
  • 1+ years of high volume kitchen leadership experience
  • current food handler's card and necessary federal/state/local certifications
  • strong knowledge of food and restaurant service skills including food production, storage, rotation, recipe adherence, plate presentation, and service standards
  • excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • computer proficiency with Windows, Microsoft Office, Point of Sale Systems, and Outlook Email
  • proven track record of increasing experience and responsibility
  • ability to perform other duties to support the business

Job Duties

  • Create a relaxed destination by promoting a learning and training environment for kitchen members through company training programs and hands-on approaches
  • focus on proper cooking techniques, knife skills, and time management to ensure culinary, sales, and service success
  • manage kitchen operations and menu development including creating daily, weekly, and monthly specials
  • oversee individual restaurant expenses ensuring budget compliance and effectively communicate monthly financial information including food cost, labor expense, and supply purchases
  • facilitate skill transfer by implementing company training programs, monitoring team performance, and enforcing safety and sanitation regulations
  • co-manage team meetings with front of house and manage kitchen expenses to ensure budgetary compliance
  • support the crew by promoting collaboration and continuous improvement
