Job Requirements
- Lift and/or move up to approximately 50 pounds frequently
- Bending, stooping, kneeling required frequently

- Safely maneuver equipment such as hand carts, blenders, knives, slicers, and wine keys

- Prior culinary experience in a similar role

- Experience in performance management and adherence to employment policies
Job Duties
- Develop and promote learning and nurturing environment for restaurant Team Members focusing on cooking techniques, knife skills, time management, and accountability
- Maintain appropriate staff levels based on projected sales and business needs
- Cultivate an environment of open, authentic dialogue with the restaurant team, senior team, and home office partners
- Practice proactive performance management in partnership with the General Manager and HR to ensure adherence to employment policies and procedures
- Stay updated with current food trends through research and vendor partnerships
- Assist Executive Chef with daily, weekly, and monthly specials and menu development
- Minimize employee turnover by hiring qualified people, orienting new employees, setting clear expectations, training, coaching, and providing feedback
- Facilitate implementation of company learning and training programs and monitor performance to ensure skill transfer
- Achieve or exceed kitchen financial expectations, including food cost, food efficiencies, labor costs, and direct kitchen expenses
