Job Requirements
- Lift and or move up to approximately 50 pounds frequently
- Bending, stooping, kneeling required frequently

- Knowledge of proper cooking techniques and knife skills

- Experience in training and performance management
- Proactive problem-solving and decision-making skills
Job Duties
- Develop and promote a nurturing learning environment for all restaurant team members focusing on cooking techniques, knife skills, time management, and accountability
- Maintain appropriate staff levels based on projected sales and business needs
- Cultivate open and authentic dialogue with restaurant team, senior management, and home office partners
- Practice proactive performance management in partnership with General Manager and HR to ensure policy adherence
- Stay current with food trends through research and vendor partnerships
- Assist Executive Chef with daily, weekly, and monthly specials and menu development
- Minimize employee turnover by hiring qualified personnel, orienting new employees, setting performance expectations, training, coaching, and providing feedback
- Facilitate implementation of company learning and training programs and monitor on-the-job skill transfer
- Achieve or exceed kitchen financial expectations including food cost, efficiencies, labor costs, and direct kitchen expenses
