Job Requirements

  • Must meet the minimum age for preparing and serving alcoholic beverages
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Typically 1+ year of bartending or related experience
  • Prior guest service experience
  • Must have current food handler’s card and alcohol service certification
  • Must have aptitude and enthusiasm to learn about all Tommy Bahama products
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds frequently
  • Ability to bend, stoop, kneel frequently
  • Ability to climb ladders occasionally
  • Ability to stand for up to 8 hours during shifts
  • Willingness to travel for training and assisting at other locations
  • Ability to work varied hours including nights, weekends, and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • At least 1 year of bartending or related experience in a full-service restaurant
  • Prior guest service experience
  • Current food handler's card
  • Alcohol service certification as required by federal, state, or local law
  • Ability to learn about all Tommy Bahama products available to guests

Job Duties

  • Create a relaxed destination by greeting guests with a friendly smile and personalized food and beverage assistance
  • Maintain complete knowledge of all food and beverage menus including ingredients, preparation methods, and presentation
  • Complete all retail product knowledge courses and actively participate in training sessions
  • Practice proper cash handling and operate point-of-sale systems accurately
  • Maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe environment for team members and guests
  • Manage inventory control including stock levels, ordering, and proper storage of perishables and spirits
  • Verify proper government-issued identification for alcohol service in compliance with laws
  • Adhere to company and location policies and procedures
  • Perform additional duties as required to support the business
