Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Generally 3 years of food and beverage experience with leadership preferred
  • Must have current food handler's card and alcohol service certification as required by law
  • Familiarity with Open Table reservation system preferred
  • Ability to work shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Basic math skills
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Office

Job Duties

  • Assist in creating a learning and nurturing environment for team members that promotes sales and service success
  • Assist in developing and implementing recruitment strategies including proactive hiring
  • Maintain appropriate staff levels
  • Hire, orient, train, coach, and give performance feedback to employees
  • Facilitate implementation of learning and training programs and monitor performance
  • Practice proactive performance management with Regional Manager and HR
  • Assist employees with career development strategies
  • Manage restaurant expenses ensuring budget compliance
  • Ensure consistent execution of company policies and procedures
  • Develop and streamline Marlin Bar processes
  • Communicate the Tommy Bahama lifestyle through brand execution
  • Ensure employee appearance reflects brand image
  • Manage upkeep of kitchen, bar, and exterior areas
  • Embrace and reflect Tommy Bahama culture and values
  • Demonstrate core values in business decisions
  • Maintain culture through business evolution
  • Be receptive to feedback and coaching
  • Possess knowledge and enforce food and beverage menus
  • Enforce all hospitality standards
  • Interact with guests and cultivate community relationships
  • Practice proper cash handling and POS operations
  • Be proficient in food handling, safety, and sanitation
  • Perform other duties as assigned
