Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Generally 3 years of food and beverage experience with some leadership experience preferred
  • Must have current food handler's card and alcohol service certification as required by federal state local law
  • Familiarity with OpenTable reservation systems preferred
  • Ability to work schedule shifts determined by business needs including nights weekends and holidays
  • Basic math skills
  • Computer Microsoft Office skills

Job Duties

  • Assist in creating a learning and nurturing environment for team members that promotes sales and service success and internal career growth
  • Assist the Marlin Bar Manager to develop and implement strategies to increase qualified applicants including proactive recruiting
  • Maintain appropriate staff levels
  • Hire qualified employees and effectively orient, set performance expectations, train, coach, and provide constructive feedback
  • Facilitate implementation of company learning and training programs and monitor performance to ensure skill transfer on-the-job
  • Practice proactive performance management in partnership with the Regional Manager and HR to ensure adherence to policies and procedures
  • Manage individual restaurant expenses ensuring budgetary compliance
