Job Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum of 3 years food and beverage experience with leadership preferred
- Current food handler's card and alcohol service certification as required by federal, state, or local law
- Ability to work shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Basic math and computer skills
- Ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds frequently
- Capability to stand for shifts up to 8 hours
- Ability to bend, stoop, kneel frequently
- Occasional ladder climbing
- Flexibility to travel for training and assist other locations
- Must uphold Tommy Bahama policies and culture
- Must be receptive to feedback and coaching
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of 3 years of food and beverage experience with some leadership experience preferred
- Current food handler's card
- Alcohol service certification as required by law
- Familiarity with Open Table reservation systems preferred
- Basic math skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Job Duties
- Assist in creating a learning and nurturing environment for team members that promotes sales and service success and career growth
- Assist the Marlin Bar Manager in developing and implementing recruitment strategies
- Hire, orient, train, coach, and provide performance feedback to employees
- Facilitate company learning and training programs and monitor performance
- Practice proactive performance management in partnership with the Regional Manager and HR
- Assist employees with career development strategies to improve retention and build bench strength
- Manage restaurant expenses ensuring budgetary compliance
- Ensure consistent execution of company policies and procedures
- Develop and streamline restaurant processes in partnership with the Marlin Bar Manager
- Communicate and reflect the Tommy Bahama brand lifestyle and culture
- Maintain employee appearance standards reflecting the brand image
- Manage upkeep of kitchen, bar, and restaurant exterior
- Enforce food and beverage menu knowledge and hospitality standards
- Interact with guests and cultivate authentic community relationships
- Practice proper cash handling and point-of-sale system operation
- Comply with food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Perform other duties as assigned
