Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • four years experience in food and beverage, culinary, or related professional area
  • or two-year degree from accredited university in Food Service Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major
  • two years experience in food and beverage or culinary area
  • ability to supervise and manage teams
  • knowledge of sanitation and food handling standards
  • understanding of applicable laws and regulations
  • excellent communication skills
  • ability to handle guest complaints and resolve issues
  • availability to work full time
  • strong organizational skills

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED with four years experience in food and beverage, culinary, or related area
  • or two-year degree in Food Service Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related field with two years experience
  • strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • knowledge of food handling and sanitation standards
  • understanding of local, state, and federal liquor laws
  • excellent customer service skills
  • ability to manage financial operations
  • effective coaching and mentoring abilities
  • problem-solving skills

Job Duties

  • Supervises and manages employees
  • manages all day-to-day operations
  • maintains service and sanitation standards in restaurant, bar/lounge, and room service areas
  • reviews staffing levels to meet guest service and financial objectives
  • leads, influences, and encourages the food and beverage team
  • ensures compliance with food and beverage policies, standards, and applicable laws
  • provides exceptional customer service and handles guest complaints
  • manages human resource activities including performance monitoring and training
  • assists servers and hosts during high demand periods
  • oversees financial aspects including purchasing and invoice payments
