Job Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs during events or setup
  • Comfortable working nights or weekends when attending promotional events
  • Reliable transportation for travel across the Michigan market
  • Proficiency with social media analytics tools and content scheduling platforms

Job Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in social media management, marketing, or communications (cannabis industry experience preferred)
  • Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills with an eye for brand consistency
  • Proficiency in social media management tools and content creation platforms
  • Excellent communication, organization, and project management skills
  • Knowledge of local events, cannabis culture, and community engagement in Michigan
  • Ability to travel up to 75% of the time for store events, pop-ups, and activations
  • Must be at least 21 years of age and able to obtain and maintain a state-issued cannabis license (if required)
  • A creative mindset and a passion for building community through digital storytelling

Job Duties

  • Develop, plan, and execute social media strategies to promote Mint Cannabis across multiple digital platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.)
  • Create, edit, and post high-quality content that aligns with our brand voice and marketing goals
  • Collaborate with store managers, marketing leadership, and operations teams to coordinate promotional campaigns and local events
  • Attend and document store events, community activations, and cannabis-related gatherings throughout Michigan
  • Engage with followers by responding to comments, messages, and community inquiries in a professional and on-brand tone
  • Write, review, and distribute press releases, newsletters, and public-facing communications
  • Track performance metrics and adjust strategies based on analytics to maximize engagement and ROI
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with media outlets, local influencers, and community partners
  • Support public relations, branding, and event marketing initiatives across the Michigan market
  • Perform other marketing-related duties as assigned
