Job Requirements
- Associates or bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in business, marketing, communications or related field
- one to three years of demonstrated marketing and digital experience
- project management and event coordination experience
- experience in the tourism, hospitality or association industry preferred
- strong project management experience
- ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- excellent interpersonal communication and customer service skills
- motivated self-starter

Job Qualifications
- Associates or bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in business, marketing, communications or related field, or an equivalent combination of education, experience and training
- one to three years of demonstrated marketing and digital experience, project management and event coordination experience
- experience in the tourism, hospitality or association industry preferred
- strong project management experience with the ability to manage, organize, coordinate and prioritize assignments under tight deadlines
- ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, set appropriate priorities and accomplish assignments in a thorough and timely fashion
- possess a strong attention to detail, ability to foresee needs and resolve obstacles
- must have excellent interpersonal communication and customer service skills and the ability to convey information in a positive manner
- motivated self-starter that can work independently, on a team, and cross departmentally

Job Duties
- Oversee the day to day coordination of the CMS and website updates for www.visitmilwaukee.org and affiliated micro sites and sister sites
- daily coordination of the online calendar of events, partner listings and general content pages
- create and deploy email and newsletter communications including partner communications, sales emails, leisure newsletters, event invites, and more
- report on open rates for emails and determine ways to optimize for performance
- assist with launching and utilizing any digital services, programs, or offerings in coordination with outside vendors or internal team members
- support marketing department with coordination requests to manage relationships with external partners including advertising agencies, CRM database provider, third party vendors, and other stakeholders as needed
- create and maintain templates for digital and other project reporting needs on a monthly and yearly basis
- work closely with the Visit Milwaukee internal data team to align with cross-department KPIs and initiatives
- coordinate Visit Milwaukee's virtual events and webinars using webinar software such as Zoom or Teams
- coordinate day to day activities, projects and initiatives to assist ongoing marketing and promotions of the organization including the Milwaukee Theater District and key community partnerships
- assist the overall department with scheduling meetings, opening PO numbers, tracking budgets, creating presentation slides, proofreading, fact finding, and reporting
- assist senior creative manager and graphic designer on creative projects including image resizing, convention group welcome signage, QR code generation, invitation and other collateral piece reviews and updates
- purchasing items and gift cards from partner businesses and assembling gift boxes for partner needs, media and travel writers, and other client opportunities
- provide project management and support to the Marketing Committee including scheduling meetings, maintaining the committee roster, sending committee communications, setting agendas, preparing presentations, and capturing and sharing meeting minutes
- oversee tourism grant submissions including guidance and assistance on development of grant applications, fulfillment of elements, and proof of performance reports
- represent Visit Milwaukee in the community by staffing sponsorship tables, booths activations at festivals and events
- attend meetings, conferences and tradeshows as needed which may require long distance travel
- assist with other projects as assigned
- assist with office front desk reception relief as needed
