Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • four years of work-related experience
  • specialized training as a Certified Special Events Professional, Certified Special Events Coordinator or Certified Special Events Manager preferred
  • valid driver's license
  • ability to pass pre-employment background check and drug screen

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in an industry related field preferred
  • four years of work-related experience
  • specialized training as a Certified Special Events Professional, Certified Special Events Coordinator or Certified Special Events Manager preferred
  • experience with Customer Relationship Management
  • strong communication and organizational skills
  • proficiency in managing social media platforms

Job Duties

  • Responsible for the successful marketing and promotion of an eight-million-dollar Park's Enterprise Operation
  • managing, planning, and coordinating Parks+Rec special events
  • working with the County PIO and Office of Communications to develop press releases and marketing pieces
  • developing and maintaining relationships with media outlets and publishers for media buys and press coverage
  • managing all aspects of the Parks & Rec website and social media outlets
  • addressing social media inquiries through Customer Relationship Management
  • collaborating on promotional campaigns and public information dissemination
