Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in marketing coordination or event planning
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Flexibility to work outside regular hours including early mornings and evenings
- Proficiency with standard office software and willingness to learn marketing platforms
- Ability to interact professionally with members, partners, and external vendors
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred
- Comfortable with sales and outreach activities related to sponsorships
Job Qualifications
- Experience in marketing coordination, event execution, or related fields
- Strong communication, organization, and project-management skills
- Ability to coordinate with external vendors and partners effectively
- Professional demeanor and strong relationship-building abilities
- Ability to prioritize multiple deadlines and work independently
- Flexibility to work occasional early mornings, evenings, or event-related hours
- Experience in chambers of commerce, nonprofits, or business associations preferred
- Familiarity with design tools such as Canva and Adobe Creative Suite is a plus
- Experience with CRM or membership databases such as ChamberMaster or GrowthZone preferred
- Comfort with sponsorship outreach and sales
Job Duties
- Serve as the primary internal point of contact for the Chamber's external marketing partners
- Coordinate with external partners to plan, refine, and implement the Chamber's marketing message and promotional strategies
- Provide content, event details, and updates needed for social media, newsletters, website updates, and promotional collateral
- Ensure that marketing output reflects the Chamber's brand and strategic priorities
- Assist in gathering photos, testimonials, and member highlights for marketing use
- Plan, coordinate, and execute Chamber events, including luncheons, networking programs, SCATI activities, special events, and annual signature programs
- Work closely with the Community Engagement Specialist on all event logistics, including venue coordination, registration, setup, layouts, vendor communication, AV needs, signage, and day-of support
- Ensure professional presentation and member-focused experience at all events
- Assist with securing speakers, panelists, partners, and in-kind contributors
- Support post-event follow-up, surveys, reporting, and thank-you messaging
- Promote and sell event and program sponsorships and earn commission on new sponsorship sales
- Build strong relationships with Chamber members, partners, and prospects to understand their business needs and connect them with Chamber opportunities
- Support membership engagement by ensuring a welcoming, organized, and value-driven event experience
- Maintain event calendars, timelines, and promotional workflows
- Assist with internal coordination for Chamber Foundation programs and SCATI initiatives
- Maintain organized digital files, event documents, and marketing assets
- Support cross-department collaboration to ensure alignment across marketing, events, and membership functions
