Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum 2 years of relevant marketing or event planning experience
- Proficiency with graphic design and marketing tools
- Strong social media management skills
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities

Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Event Management, or related field or equivalent experience
- 2+ years of experience in marketing, communications, or event planning, preferably in a nonprofit or community organization
- Strong writing, editing, and graphic design skills
- proficiency with design and scheduling tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Mailchimp, Meta Business Suite)
- Demonstrated experience and success with social media platforms and marketing analytics tools
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across teams
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends for events

Job Duties
- Develop and implement a marketing strategy that promotes LJCC programs, membership, and events to both internal and external audiences
- Create engaging, on-brand digital content including graphics, videos, newsletters, and social media posts across multiple platforms
- Manage LJCC's social media presence including planning, posting, and analyzing performance to grow engagement and reach
- Write and design email campaigns, website updates, and print collateral that effectively communicate LJCC's programs and impact
- Explore and manage marketing opportunities beyond social media, including local media partnerships, community calendars, advertising, and public relations efforts
- Partner with the Development Director to plan, coordinate, and execute major community events including Jewish Food and Culture Fest, J'la Gala, and Sam Lapidus Montclair Run
- Manage event logistics including vendor coordination, marketing, registration, setup, and on-site execution
- Assist with planning and implementation of additional LJCC events such as Thursday Family Fun Nights, the Annual Legacy Luncheon, Annual Membership Meeting, and other special events as assigned
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure events align with organizational goals and provide meaningful experiences for participants and donors
- Track and evaluate event success metrics and participant feedback to inform future improvements
