Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, public relations, event management, or related field or equivalent experience
  • 1-3 years of experience in marketing, communications, or event coordination, nonprofit experience preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable with social media management tools and basic design software
  • Highly organized with strong multitasking and time management skills
  • Willingness to work some evenings and weekends for events
  • A positive, mission-driven mindset and the ability to represent the organization professionally

Job Duties

  • Create and implement marketing strategies that increase awareness and support organizational goals
  • Manage social media platforms including content creation, scheduling, and engagement across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and X/Twitter
  • Design marketing materials such as newsletters, flyers, event invitations, and digital graphics using Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar tools
  • Support website updates, email campaigns, and press releases
  • Track and report marketing performance metrics to guide improvements
  • Highlight programs, impact stories, and donor recognition through mission-centered storytelling
  • Plan and execute events including fundraisers, community outreach, donor gatherings, and staff events
  • Manage event timelines, budgets, vendors, and logistics to ensure smooth operations
  • Promote events across multiple marketing channels
  • Recruit, train, and supervise volunteers for event support
  • Serve as on-site point of contact during events to ensure everything runs seamlessly
  • Prepare post-event evaluations and outcome reports
