Job Requirements

  • Bachelor degree or associate degree in related field preferred
  • Two to four years experience in marketing or related area
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • CRM systems experience preferred
  • Social media skills preferred, especially Facebook
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Writing skills and creativity
  • Ability to work under pressure of multiple deadlines and demands
  • Highly organized and technologically savvy
  • Some travel required

Job Duties

  • Assist with the local advertising and branding efforts
  • Maintain strong vendor relationships with various marketing partners
  • Keep current on best practices and emerging technologies and trends within the industry
  • Drive social media communications for store and maintain local Facebook Page
  • Plan, develop, and schedule content including contests and campaigns
  • Plan and obtain approval for promotional events such as customer Getaways! cruises, shows, and tours
  • Coordinate and execute Offsite Sales Events
  • Arrange transportation, accommodations, equipment, and personnel for customer events
  • Provide customers with event-related brochures and information
  • Confer with customers to answer event or promotion questions
  • Assist with creation of event flyers and promotional materials
  • Provide administrative support as needed
  • Manage local boat show administrative efforts with General Manager and Regional Marketing Manager
  • Execute nationally/regionally coordinated events
  • Coordinate boat video walk-thrus with Store Manager
  • Implement and display all current OEM and MarineMax POP materials
  • Serve as liaison to charitable and community events
  • Liaison with Local Chamber of Commerce and CVB
  • Other duties as assigned
