Job Requirements

  • High school graduate or GED
  • Two years experience with market operations management or comparable duties
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification or willingness to obtain within 60 days
  • Ability to work weekends during market season
  • Ability to manage physical tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds and working outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office
  • Must pass a driving record and background check including criminal sex offender search

Job Duties

  • Coordinate and oversee day-to-day farmers market operations including vendor booth assignments, logistics, volunteer management, and interfacing with public and vendors
  • Plan, coordinate, and schedule market activities including musical performances, community groups, and food trucks
  • Develop and manage vendor relationships ensuring compliance with market rules and regulations
  • Solicit and screen new vendors, support vendor success and quality of products
  • Operate SNAP and Double Up Food Bucks programs, ensuring vendor compliance and shopper education
  • Provide content and assist in executing marketing plans including website and social media management
  • Maintain financial records, handle vendor fee collection, reconciliation, invoicing, and fines assessment
  • Supervise seasonal market staff including scheduling and task oversight
  • Assist with additional special events as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned
