Job Requirements

  • Must be 18 or older
  • physically able to exert up to 100 pounds occasionally
  • able to do arithmetic calculations involving fractions, decimals, and percentages
  • ability to solve practical problems with limited standardization

  • ability to maintain high personal hygiene and work safety standards
  • ability to manage multiple kitchen tasks simultaneously

Job Duties

  • Maintains a positive attitude
  • creates an atmosphere of friendliness and fun through flexibility and teamwork
  • generates a friendly atmosphere by encouraging employees to greet and speak to guests
  • sets the department standards for customer service, employee relations, cleanliness, sanitation, professional appearance and overall profitability
  • smiles and greets guests in a friendly manner throughout the entire facility
  • makes an effort to learn guests' names and to address them by name
  • answers the telephone promptly and provides friendly, helpful service including taking product orders
  • works with chefs for efficient provisioning and purchasing of supplies
  • projects and controls food and beverage costs
  • supervises portion control and quantities to minimize waste
  • performs frequent checks to ensure consistent high quality of preparation and service
  • analyzes weekly and monthly sales and trends
  • plans and executes marketing, advertising and special restaurant functions
  • monitors actions of staff and guests to ensure health and safety standards and liquor regulations are obeyed
  • maintains budget and employee records
  • investigates and resolves complaints concerning food quality and service
  • arranges for maintenance and repair of equipment and services
  • directs hiring, training, and scheduling of personnel
  • enforces sanitary practices and complies with health and safety regulations
  • conducts inventory
  • plans displays, promotions and determines pre-orders
  • monitors food preparation methods
  • understands and troubleshoots equipment
  • maintains strict adherence to hygiene and dress guidelines
  • adheres to company policies and store guidelines
  • reports to work on time
  • forecasts sales for ordering and scheduling
