Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • two to four years of related work experience
  • ability to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally
  • ability to perform physical activities including climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions
  • ability to maintain impeccable personal hygiene and high work and safety standards
  • ability to solve practical problems with limited standardization
  • capability to perform arithmetic calculations involving fractions, decimals, and percentages
  • availability to work scheduled shifts promptly
  • compliance with company policies and health and safety regulations
  • successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen

Job Duties

  • Maintains a positive attitude
  • creates an atmosphere of friendliness and fun through flexibility and teamwork
  • generates a friendly atmosphere by encouraging employees to greet and speak to guests
  • sets the department standards for customer service, employee relations, cleanliness, sanitation, professional appearance and overall profitability
  • smiles and greets guests in a friendly manner throughout the facility
  • makes an effort to learn guests' names and address them by name
  • answers telephone promptly and provides friendly, helpful service
  • works with chefs for efficient provisioning and purchasing of supplies
  • projects and controls food and beverage costs
  • supervises portion control and quantities of preparation to minimize waste
  • performs frequent checks to ensure consistent high quality of preparation and service
  • analyzes sales and trends and compares to actuals
  • plans and executes marketing, advertising and special restaurant functions
  • monitors health and safety standards and liquor regulations
  • maintains budget and employee records
  • investigates and resolves complaints regarding food quality and service
  • arranges maintenance and repair of equipment
  • figures retail merchandise pricing and ensures correct pricing
  • directs hiring, training and scheduling of staff
  • enforces sanitary practices and complies with health and safety regulations
  • conducts inventory and plans displays and promotions
  • monitors food preparation methods
  • troubleshoots and maintains equipment
  • adheres to personal hygiene and dress guidelines
  • reports to work on time
  • forecasts sales and schedules staff appropriately
  • manages department budget and all financial aspects including cash accountability
