Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Six months or less of similar or related work experience
- Ability to solve practical problems
- Ability to do simple addition and subtraction
- Ability to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions
- Ability to write and communicate requests
- Must be physically able to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally
- Must be able to perform physical activities such as climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing and repetitive motions
- Must adhere to company hygiene and dress policies
- Must report to work on time
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen

- Ability to solve practical problems with limited standardization
- Competency in simple addition and subtraction
- Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions
- Effective communication skills

- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
Job Duties
- Provides prompt, efficient and friendly customer service by exhibiting caring, concern and patience in all customer interactions
- Smiles and greets customers in a friendly manner
- Makes an effort to learn customers’ names and address them personally
- Assists customers by escorting them to products, securing out-of-reach items, loading or unloading heavy goods, noting customer suggestions, and enhancing the shopping experience
- Answers telephone promptly and provides helpful service
- Works collaboratively with co-workers to ensure customer satisfaction
- Prepares cooking surfaces and all menu items including vegetables, sides, meats, and breakfast foods
- Monitors and refills food in hot cases as needed
- Understands all menu items and takes guest orders
- Ensures work areas are clean and sanitary
- Adheres to company policies, hygiene and dress standards
- Reports to work promptly and as scheduled
- Assists with ordering products and supplies when necessary
- Supports other store areas as needed and performs special projects
- Maintains understanding of all Market Grille operations
