Job Requirements

Must be 18 or older
No education requirement
Six months or less of related work experience
Ability to perform medium work including lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally
Ability to perform physical activities such as climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions
Must maintain personal hygiene and dress according to company standards
Must adhere to company policies and store guidelines
Must be punctual and reliable
Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions
Basic numerical skills for counting and recording

Job Duties

Provides prompt, efficient and friendly customer service by exhibiting caring, concern and patience in all customer interactions
Smiles and greets customers in a friendly manner, whether the encounter takes place in the employee's designated department or elsewhere in the store
Makes an effort to learn customers' names and to address them by name whenever possible
Assists customers by escorting them to products, securing products that are out of reach, loading or unloading heavy items, making note of customer suggestions or requests, performing other tasks to enhance the shopping experience
Answers the telephone promptly and provides helpful service including taking customer orders
Takes customer orders at the Market Grille counter
Works with co-workers as a team to ensure customer satisfaction and a pleasant work environment
Reviews orders for the day
Handles food in a safe manner and ensures the work area is clean and neat
Reviews the status and appearance of the food for freshness
Ensures adequate food supply is ready and follows a production list
Anticipates product needs daily
Prepares and replenishes product as necessary
Pulls product from cooler/freezer for cooking
Checks in product, puts product away, and may review invoices
Runs department registers and processes payments where applicable
Removes trash timely
Maintains strict adherence to hygiene and dress guidelines
Adheres to company policies and store guidelines
Reports to work when scheduled and on time
Washes dishes as necessary
Orders products and supplies
Prices products for customers
Delivers orders
Assists in other store areas as needed
Performs other job-related duties and special projects as required
