Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in luxury retail management
  • Bachelor’s degree in hospitality business or related field
  • Certification in wine preferred such as WSET or Sommelier
  • Strong knowledge of Italian wines and culinary traditions
  • Proven leadership and team management abilities
  • Exceptional communication interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Financial acumen and budgeting skills
  • Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods
  • Proficient with POS systems computers telephones and printers
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds occasionally
  • Mobility to move around the market including walking and reaching bending and stooping
  • Flexibility in physical duties
  • Professional demeanor and strong customer service orientation

Job Qualifications

  • Experience of minimum of 5 years in luxury retail management with expertise in fine wines and Italian gastronomy
  • Bachelor’s degree in hospitality business or a related field
  • Certification in wine such as WSET Sommelier certification preferred
  • Strong knowledge of Italian wines and culinary traditions
  • Proven leadership and team management abilities
  • Exceptional communication interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Financial acumen and ability to manage budgets effectively

Job Duties

  • Oversee all daily operations of the market ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to luxury standards
  • Recruit train and manage a team of passionate professionals including cashiers sales associates and support staff
  • Maintain a clean organized and aesthetically pleasing environment that reflects the brand's ethos
  • Curate and manage the fine Italian products and wine selections ensuring it represents the best of Italian culture
  • Host activations tastings events and educational experiences for customers and staff
  • Collaborate with suppliers and producers to source exclusive and high-quality products
  • Deliver a personalized shopping experience that caters to high-end clientele
  • Build strong relationships with customers offering tailored recommendations and insights
  • Handle customer inquiries and concerns with professionalism and a luxury-service approach
  • Oversee inventory to ensure availability of key products while minimizing waste
  • Monitor sales prepare financial reports and meet revenue goals
  • Develop and execute promotional strategies to drive sales and enhance market visibility
  • Ensure the market opens with intention and care with all team members aligned on responsibilities visual standards and service priorities
  • Maintain a consistent high-touch experience throughout peak periods by anticipating guest needs supporting real-time floor operations and upholding a strong team presence
  • Safeguard product freshness aesthetic presentation and overall cleanliness throughout the day
  • Execute regular resets restocks and maintenance with attention to detail
  • Promote clear timely communication across shifts through reporting tools CRM updates and handoff procedures to ensure operational continuity
  • Conclude each day with a focus on resetting the market for the following morning including restocking documentation and final cleanliness checks that uphold brand values
  • Partner with marketing teams to promote products events and services across digital and traditional platforms
  • Ensure the market aligns with the brand’s values of authenticity craftsmanship and exclusivity
  • Represent the brand at trade shows events and within the local luxury community
