Job Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Four-year college degree preferred
- At least one year experience in related field preferred
- Food Service Sanitation certification
- Alcohol Service permit if required
- CPR certification preferred
- Proven team player and good leader
- Exemplify highest standards of honesty, integrity, humility, and leadership
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and carry objects weighing up to 25 pounds
- Ability to walk, stand, reach, handle, feel, talk, hear, and see for extended periods
- Must be able to work flexible hours including busy periods
Job Qualifications
- Thorough knowledge of room service operations including food, beverage, supervisory aspects, and guest interaction
- Knowledge of beverage operations and wines
- Strong mathematical abilities for inventory and financial tracking
- Ability to communicate effectively in English both orally and in writing
- Ability to work under pressure and manage stressful situations
- Proficiency in using moderately complex computer systems
- Strong interpersonal skills for guest satisfaction
- Ability to assist in building and managing teams
- Ability to implement and maintain company policies
- Ability to create forecasts and budgets
- Knowledge of DOH, fire safety, and employment regulations
Job Duties
- Train, supervise, counsel and discipline staff for efficient operation
- Organize and conduct pre-shift and departmental meetings
- Schedule and direct staff in their work assignments
- Ensure restaurant complies with sanitation and safety standards
- Inspect and take corrective action on facility and equipment conditions
- Manage and monitor product quality and guest satisfaction
- Investigate and resolve guest complaints
- Document inventory forecast and monitor supply levels
- Oversee setup of dining and service areas
- Review and evaluate customer satisfaction
- Recommend marketing and operational policies
- Ensure compliance with company policies and legal regulations
- Participate in menu development and promote hotel outlets
