Job Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Four-year college degree preferred
  • At least one year experience in related field preferred
  • Food Service Sanitation certification
  • Alcohol Service permit if required
  • CPR certification preferred
  • Proven team player and good leader
  • Exemplify highest standards of honesty, integrity, humility, and leadership
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and carry objects weighing up to 25 pounds
  • Ability to walk, stand, reach, handle, feel, talk, hear, and see for extended periods
  • Must be able to work flexible hours including busy periods

Job Qualifications

  • Thorough knowledge of room service operations including food, beverage, supervisory aspects, and guest interaction
  • Knowledge of beverage operations and wines
  • Strong mathematical abilities for inventory and financial tracking
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English both orally and in writing
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage stressful situations
  • Proficiency in using moderately complex computer systems
  • Strong interpersonal skills for guest satisfaction
  • Ability to assist in building and managing teams
  • Ability to implement and maintain company policies
  • Ability to create forecasts and budgets
  • Knowledge of DOH, fire safety, and employment regulations

Job Duties

  • Train, supervise, counsel and discipline staff for efficient operation
  • Organize and conduct pre-shift and departmental meetings
  • Schedule and direct staff in their work assignments
  • Ensure restaurant complies with sanitation and safety standards
  • Inspect and take corrective action on facility and equipment conditions
  • Manage and monitor product quality and guest satisfaction
  • Investigate and resolve guest complaints
  • Document inventory forecast and monitor supply levels
  • Oversee setup of dining and service areas
  • Review and evaluate customer satisfaction
  • Recommend marketing and operational policies
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and legal regulations
  • Participate in menu development and promote hotel outlets
