Job Requirements

  • Must have fine dining experience
  • Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation, service standards, guest relations, and etiquette
  • Knowledge of appropriate table settings, service ware, and menu items
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English sufficient to understand menus and communicate with guests
  • Ability to remember and promote menu items
  • Ability to transport trays weighing up to 40 lbs throughout the shift
  • Ability to operate beverage and toast equipment
  • Ability to use a keyboard and learn Point-of-Sale procedures
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs with frequent lifting of 25 lbs
  • Ability to walk, stand, reach, handle, talk, hear, and see to a significant degree
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Job Duties

  • Check station before, during, and after shift for proper set-up and cleanliness
  • Greet guests in a friendly and courteous manner and explain specials and promotions
  • Record order details from guests and confirm accuracy
  • Input orders into the Point-of-Sale system
  • Retrieve and deliver food and beverages confirming order accuracy
  • Replenish beverages and check guest satisfaction
  • Market and serve dessert items and specialty coffees
  • Present checks and process payments according to procedures
  • Perform general cleaning tasks using hotel cleaning products
  • Assist bus staff in clearing and resetting tables
  • Restock condiments and side stands
  • Answer telephone and take room service orders
  • Handle special guest requests
  • Attend required meetings
