Job Requirements
- Act with the highest level of integrity and maintain a positive attitude
- Bachelor's degree required in a related field
- five years or more previous management experience including achieving financial goals, budgeting activities, inventory control, direction of personnel, advertising, and customer relations
- must live within 20 to 30 minutes from the Marina
- strong passion for providing excellent hospitality and customer service
- solid understanding of financial statements and budgeting process
- understand how to evaluate and address underperforming financial areas revealed in Monthly Profit and Loss Statements
- knowledgeable of general boat handling and operations, mooring and docking practices, boat equipment, standard safety precautions, and marina facilities
- adaptable to work composed of a variety of different tasks
- ability to manage multiple projects at a time despite interruptions
- ability to make independent decisions and determine appropriate course of action
- strong ability to develop partnerships with internal clients and others

Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Achieve financial results according to the property's annual operating and capital budgets
- maintain a comprehensive understanding and awareness of the property's financials and progress made towards achieving budget
- monitor actual versus projected budget figures every month and investigate negative deviations and set or monitor objectives to correct
- know and understand all the marina's computer and technology systems and POS software and ensure department supervisors and managers and their staffs have a working knowledge of these systems
- ensure the property has an updated organization chart with supervisors or managers assigned and accountable for each business segment reporting to the Marina General Manager
- supervise the security and safety of the marina grounds and buildings to ensure the safety of customers and team members and provide training for safe use of marina equipment
- routinely inspect all areas of the property to ensure a high-quality appearance and proper safety environment including cleaning, stocking, and maintenance tasks
- understand and comply with government regulations related to marina operations and handle all governmental reporting and compliance
- monitor fuel levels and ensure they comply with TSSA standards
- maintain professional relationships with agencies, contractors, vendors, and customers
- determine needed workforce, recruit, train, schedule, and supervise personnel and contract labor
- lead weekly management meetings to discuss financial performance and operational matters
- respond to and resolve customer disputes in line with company philosophy
- approve and oversee leasing activities and maintain records of business transactions
- approve all purchases, invoices, and check requests
- ensure controls to safeguard assets including equipment and inventory
- secure all equipment each evening
- oversee maintenance of all marina property and equipment
- establish and enforce vessel hauling and launching procedures
- coordinate with management to ensure efficient department operations
- oversee marketing program implementation
- respond to emergency events affecting marina assets
- maintain up-to-date local SOPs and instruction manuals
- manage employee disciplinary issues and coordinate with Human Resources
- manage employee schedules and approve time off
- notify HR and submit necessary documents for workers compensation and OSHA incidents
- perform additional duties assigned by regional and executive leadership
