Job Requirements

  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years banquet chef experience preferred
  • Minimum 5 years cooking experience
  • Food/beverage service worker permit, where applicable
  • Minimum 2 years kitchen management experience
  • Ability to communicate effectively with the public and other employees
  • College degree or certification in culinary field/hospitality field preferred
  • Meet minimum age requirement of jurisdiction
  • No employee will pose a direct threat to the health/safety of self or others

Job Duties

  • Supervise and coordinate activities of food preparation, kitchen, pantry, and storeroom personnel
  • Purchase and requisition ingredients, kitchen supplies, and equipment
  • Participate in planning menus, preparing and portioning food and controlling costs
  • Supervise stewarding to ensure cleanliness of kitchen and equipment
  • Supervise cooks to ensure food quality and presentation standards
  • Oversee inventory, storage, and distribution of food and supplies
  • Collaborate with Executive Chef on kitchen operations and staff management
