The Mardi Gras Bartender position is a seasonal opportunity designed for individuals who thrive in a lively and fast-paced environment that captures the vibrant spirit of Mardi Gras. This role is based within an event or hospitality setting, known for its upscale and festive atmosphere, especially during the Mardi Gras season. The employer is seeking enthusiastic bartenders to join their team from December 15, 2025, through February 18, 2026. Job Requirements
- Updated Food Handlers Card
- Serv Safe certification
- Bar Card per Mobile County Health Department
- Six months or more bartending experience
- Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and long hours
- Accurate cash handling skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Job Qualifications
- Six months or more experience bartending
- Must have updated Food Handlers Card, Serv Safe, and Bar Card per Mobile County Health Department
- Accurate cash handling skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to be self-directed while working in a team-oriented environment
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and long hours
- Bartending school preferred
Job Duties
- Demonstrate ability to meet company standards for guest service, interaction with coworkers, and uniform standards
- Follow bar pre-shift notes and bar menus to provide service
- Serve alcoholic beverages according to federal and state regulations
- Learn and suggest various beer, wine, and spirits to guests
- Pour drinks responsibly according to company standards
- Check guest IDs to verify minimum age requirements
- Communicate alcohol cut-offs to guests when necessary
- Respond to customer requests and concerns
- De-escalate intoxicated guest situations and contact management/security if needed
- Accurately handle cash and manage bar bank
- Maintain a clean and sanitary workstation
- Perform bar setup, breakdown, and organize cooler as assigned
