Job Requirements

  • authorization to work in the United States unless currently a manager at another Four Seasons location
  • at least one to two years experience in food and beverage management or assistant manager role
  • proficiency in English
  • ability to work long shifts including weekends and holidays if needed

Job Qualifications

  • preferably a college degree specializing in hotel or restaurant management or equivalent experience
  • one to two years previous experience in assistant manager or department head position in food and beverage
  • working knowledge of division operations as well as Four Seasons cultural and core standards, policies, and standard operating procedures
  • knowledge of food and beverage service, cost control, labor control, maintenance, merchandising, and accounting
  • ability to operate computer equipment and other food and beverage computer systems
  • reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language
  • ability to work eight-to-ten-hour shifts with variable scheduled days and hours

Job Duties

  • select, train, evaluate, lead, motivate, coach, and discipline all employees in Mara Restaurant and Bar
  • assist in implementing and planning innovations and additions to the Restaurant and Bar year-round
  • be visible in the operation, provide recognition, promote good public relations, and handle complaints, concerns or special requests for guests, clients, and group contacts
  • describe and ensure quality of all food items, ingredients, and preparation methods, as well as provide knowledge of wine and spirits
  • control labor and operating expenses through effective scheduling, purchasing decisions, and inventory control
  • attend regular operational meetings to ensure effective coordination and cooperation between departments
  • observe physical condition of facilities and equipment in the outlet and make recommendations for corrections and improvements
  • work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and Ambassadors
