- Certified Medical Assistant preferred or at least 3 years of experience
- None required licenses or certifications

Job Duties
- Welcome patients and visitors in a courteous and professional manner
- Schedule patient appointments in person or by telephone
- Keep patient appointments on schedule by notifying providers of arrivals and service delays
- Comfort patients by anticipating anxieties and maintaining the reception area
- Communicate effectively with individuals and groups in high stress situations
- Manage multiple changing priorities while maintaining exceptional customer service
- Obtain patient demographic, insurance, and financial data for registration
- Protect patient rights by maintaining confidentiality
- Update and maintain patient database according to procedures
- Complete and balance daily transaction paperwork
- Answer telephones and assist with follow-up appointments
- Check patients in and out
- Collect copayments and counter payments
- Verify eligibility and benefits
- Assure completion of required forms
- Scan and index documents into systems
- Account for daily encounters
- Balance cash drawer
- Transmit documents to external entities
- Prepare paperwork for daily clinic operations
- Manage outstanding patient balances and collect payments
- Support physicians and coworkers in general administrative tasks
- Greet and room patients professionally
- Take vital signs
- Obtain patient histories and reason for visit
- Reconcile medications with patients
- Assist physicians during patient interaction and procedures
- Prepare and maintain treatment rooms
- Enter demographic and clinical information into systems
- Communicate lab and procedure results to patients
- Review and clarify consent forms
- Process prescriptions to pharmacy
- Provide and explain instructions for patient care and procedures
- Prepare chart information for physicians
- Demonstrate safe injection techniques
- Maintain inventory
- Exhibit knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
