Job Requirements
- Minimum age 18
- high school diploma or equivalent
- completion of company orientation, and food safety and sanitation training upon hire
- ability to function in a fast-paced retail environment in detailed and precise tasks
- strong customer service orientation
- good communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to read and write
- ability to plan and organize tasks effectively
- physical ability to perform department-specific tasks such as lifting up to 55 lbs and managing heavier loads with assistance

Job Duties
- Provides superior customer service
- takes orders from customers by telephone or in person
- answers customer questions regarding products
- assists them with selections
- prepares, packages, and merchandises fresh product effectively
- slices, packages, labels, rotates, and culls products for poor quality
- assists in technical areas as needed, e.g., basic set-up and clean-up processes
- uses suggestive selling techniques and basic product knowledge to meet customer needs and build department sales
- cleans and sanitizes display cases
- operates and maintains equipment properly
- complies with H-E-B food safety and sanitation standards
- complies with department and store operating procedures
