Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in manufacturing warehouse management
  • minimum of 5-7 years’ experience in manufacturing or distribution leadership
  • experience in warehouse management and ERP systems
  • strong communication skills
  • ability to manage multiple union contracts
  • knowledge of safety procedures and warehouse best practices
  • financial and analytical skills
  • experience in food manufacturing and distribution environment
  • experience leading process improvements

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in manufacturing warehouse management
  • minimum of 5-7 years’ experience in a manufacturing or distribution leadership role
  • experience in warehouse management and ERP systems
  • proven ability to define performance measures directly related to business and hold people accountable for such
  • strong communication skills and ability to build direct relationships with hourly team members while managing multiple union contracts
  • previous work experience within a food manufacturing and distribution environment
  • knowledge of proper safety procedures, equipment maintenance, and warehouse best practices
  • financial and analytical capabilities to plan budgets, monitor inventory, assess data, and create reports
  • demonstrated bias for action and experience leading process improvements

Job Duties

  • Lead warehouse shift operations comprised of supervisors, non-union and union team members
  • accountable to delivering daily operational performance tied to safety, quality, service, and productivity
  • champion a safe workplace by being personally accountable and holding the team accountable to all safety policies and procedures
  • maintain a hazard free work environment, participate in safety initiatives and safety committees
  • hold team members accountable to following proper operational SOPs
  • adhere to and enforce GMPs
  • identify process gap opportunities and lead efforts to bridge process gaps by gaining buy in from team members and establishing new SOPs
  • oversee the flow of inventory on the campus and to outside storage locations, ensuring accurate inventory management
  • partner cross-functionally to solve broad facility challenges that impact multiple departments
  • work with site leadership and HR to support team members as needed
  • develop team members to enable them to grow in their career
  • maintain inventory based on FEFO and assist in preventing customer service issues
  • familiarity with OSHA guidelines for forklift use and general warehousing and ensure these regulations are in place and enforced
  • ensure warehouse operations are appropriately staffed and employees are properly trained and certified to execute their duties
  • all other duties as assigned
