LA28 is the independent, non-profit, and privately funded organizing committee responsible for delivering the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required or equivalent work experience
  • Ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to think critically and discern the right course of action with little guidance
  • Willingness to occasionally visit venues and work on-site as needed
  • General support to the core VNI team
  • The position is in Los Angeles with in-person attendance required
  • Occasional travel to venue sites (10% time)
  • Support LA28 operational activity during lead up to the Olympic and Paralympic Games
  • The LA28 office is an open floorplan working environment
  • Employees must be able to work efficiently in an open cubicle environment
  • Majority of work conducted in office setting requiring extended periods using computers, phones, and other office equipment

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience in architecture design and BIM coordination
  • Experience in space planning, architecture and design, event and games planning
  • Proficiency in Revit
  • Demonstrated commitment to co-creation and collaborative decision-making
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong understanding of design principles and construction documentation
  • Understanding of building codes and accessibility requirements
  • Excellent communication and ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Games and event experience is encouraged

Job Duties

  • Manage the design team's creation and maintenance of BIM models, ensuring their accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project requirements and LA28's standards
  • Coordinate BIM activities among the design team
  • Collaborate with functional areas, engineers, and contractors to produce design drawings for venues
  • Facilitate collaboration between internal teams ensuring alignment on deliverables and timelines
  • Produce venue drawing sets used by contractors and games planning
