Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 1 year experience in management, transportation/logistics, business administration, or related field
- Willingness to travel and relocate
- Ability to work nights and weekends
- Commitment to follow DOT regulations
- Ability to perform physical inspections and manage equipment
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Transportation/Logistics, Supply Chain or related field OR High School Diploma/GED with 1 year relevant experience
- Ability to work multiple shifts including nights and weekends
- Willingness to travel and regionally relocate
- Experience managing a team preferred
- Effective conflict resolution skills
- Strong decision-making and adaptability
- Ability to establish and maintain professional relationships
- Excellent communication skills
- Problem-solving abilities
Job Duties
- Learn to build and maintain positive professional relationships with drivers and outside carriers
- Fill in for absent personnel and support special projects
- Utilize personnel management including training and orientation of drivers and employees
- Maximize efficiency of fleet operations and recommend improvements
- Manage inventory, assets, and driver assignments
- Perform administrative duties such as payroll, driver counseling, and report analysis
- Manage yard operations and coordinate equipment maintenance
- Resolve service issues and coordinate with drivers and customers
- Maintain company safety culture and enforce DOT compliance
- Assign loads, plan routes, and monitor freight movement
