- literate in basic language writing reading and arithmetic
- ability to pass servsafe manager exam and maintain certificate
- working knowledge of school food service
- excellent attendance
- level i tasn certification for internal candidates

Job Duties
- work with manager to develop thorough knowledge of manager duties and responsibilities in various schools
- assume responsibilities of the manager in her absence
- oversee quantity food preparation ensuring quality and safety
- maintain safety and sanitation standards in the kitchen
- plan and organize effective communication with co-workers and customers
- assist in training and support of kitchen staff
- manage daily operational tasks to ensure efficient food service
