The Rockford IceHogs are a professional hockey team based in Rockford, Illinois, competing in the American Hockey League (AHL). Founded in 1999, they serve as the premier development affiliate for the Chicago Blackhawks of the National Hockey League (NHL). Job Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional selling experience
  • Previous managerial experience

Job Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional selling experience combined with previous managerial experience
  • Self-starter with ability to build and develop teams
  • Ability to engage and interact with current and prospective clients and fans
  • Previous experience with CRM and ticketing/inventory management software, with extensive knowledge of Ticketmaster Archtics and Salesforce preferred
  • Uphold and demonstrate organizational values including integrity, curiosity, empathy, collaboration and originality
  • Ability to foster a positive team culture and work well collaboratively with others
  • Demonstrate excellent personal motivation and persistence
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize numerous tasks and support multiple high-level positions
  • Ability and desire to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays as event schedule requires

Job Duties

  • Build and implement business development and growth strategies alongside IceHogs and Blackhawks leadership
  • Lead and motivate sales team to maximize revenue through sales of season ticket packages, group packages, premium seats and events and experiences
  • Recruit, hire, train and develop sales members while cultivating a culture of collaboration and growth
  • Use fan and customer data to build and implement sales strategies, tactics, and campaigns
  • Develop sales campaigns and incentives to cultivate a positive and successful selling culture
  • Provide extensive customer service and continual development of relationships with staff, co-workers and colleagues, customers, and the business community
  • Lead by example through engaging with fans and customers in-arena and other team-related activities
  • Collaborate, communicate and work closely with Chicago Blackhawks Ticket Sales and Retention leaders
