Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or 4 years of experience in application of OSHA and ANSI standards and the Code of Federal Regulations
- thorough understanding of FAA 14CFR
- standard root cause corrective action methods and techniques
- OSHA 30 certification
- 4+ years of supervisory or leadership experience
- 5+ years experience in aircraft maintenance, inspection, safety, dangerous goods, or related air carrier experience
- proven leadership
- interpersonal, written, and verbal presentation skills
- highest standard of ethics and integrity to compliance adherence
- legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship
- successful completion of interview
- reliable punctual attendance
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in aviation, aerospace, safety, engineering or related field
- 4+ years of supervisory or leadership experience
- 5+ years experience in aircraft maintenance, inspection, safety, dangerous goods, or related air carrier experience

Job Duties
- Oversee division safety training, issues, and regulatory requirements
- serve as the subject matter expert in safety and compliance for line and base maintenance operations
- conduct continuous surveillance through regular site audits and visits
- manage all safety and compliance matters within the designated region including secondary maintenance stations
- integrate surveillance and analysis of operational, safety, and compliance risks with quality assurance and quality control programs
- support reduction of injuries, aircraft damages, lost time, operational impacts, and total cost
- lead investigations for non-compliances and injury/damage incidents using root cause analysis methods
- ensure implementation and adherence to safety policies and procedures
- implement SMS principles in surveillance activities
- lead regular risk reviews and monitoring plans
- promote and incorporate lessons learned across maintenance and related operations
- lead implementation of Tech Ops Safety Team initiatives
- provide mitigations for safety issues from union management safety committees
- serve as master trainer on safety subjects and share expertise with division and cross-division safety counterparts
