Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or 4 years of experience in application of OSHA and ANSI standards and the Code of Federal Regulations
  • thorough understanding of FAA 14CFR
  • standard root cause corrective action methods and techniques
  • OSHA 30 certification
  • 4+ years of supervisory or leadership experience
  • 5+ years experience in aircraft maintenance, inspection, safety, dangerous goods, or related air carrier experience
  • proven leadership
  • interpersonal, written, and verbal presentation skills
  • highest standard of ethics and integrity to compliance adherence
  • legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship
  • successful completion of interview
  • reliable punctual attendance

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in aviation, aerospace, safety, engineering or related field
  • 4+ years of supervisory or leadership experience
  • 5+ years experience in aircraft maintenance, inspection, safety, dangerous goods, or related air carrier experience

Job Duties

  • Oversee division safety training, issues, and regulatory requirements
  • serve as the subject matter expert in safety and compliance for line and base maintenance operations
  • conduct continuous surveillance through regular site audits and visits
  • manage all safety and compliance matters within the designated region including secondary maintenance stations
  • integrate surveillance and analysis of operational, safety, and compliance risks with quality assurance and quality control programs
  • support reduction of injuries, aircraft damages, lost time, operational impacts, and total cost
  • lead investigations for non-compliances and injury/damage incidents using root cause analysis methods
  • ensure implementation and adherence to safety policies and procedures
  • implement SMS principles in surveillance activities
  • lead regular risk reviews and monitoring plans
  • promote and incorporate lessons learned across maintenance and related operations
  • lead implementation of Tech Ops Safety Team initiatives
  • provide mitigations for safety issues from union management safety committees
  • serve as master trainer on safety subjects and share expertise with division and cross-division safety counterparts
