Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business, hospitality, sport management or similar
- 2 to 4 years of related experience in event management, sales or marketing in the event industry
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products
- Ability to work holidays, evenings, and weekends
- Ability to learn video board and sound equipment functions
- Strong multitasking and organizational skills
- Willingness to engage in proactive sales and networking activities
- Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple departments

Job Qualifications

- Knowledge of local and regional event markets
- Ability to learn video board and sound related equipment functions
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain client relationships
- Experience with marketing and promotional activities
- Skilled in creating client presentations and proposals.
Job Duties
- Act as the primary on-site contact for all non-baseball events at Hammons Field
- Identify, pursue, and close new special event business through prospecting, networking, site tours, partnerships, and creative deal structuring
- Manage all aspects of events including prospecting, walkthroughs, contract negotiations, pre-event planning, food and beverage coordination, staffing, load-in/out, event execution, and post-event settlement
- Create detailed event notes and share them with internal teams and external partners
- Lead meetings with clients and vendors, including event walkthroughs, menu reviews, and staff meetings
- Organize and schedule internal staff and coordinate with third-party vendors for event logistics
- Build and maintain strong relationships with all team departments and external partners like the local Convention & Visitors Bureau and Sports Commission
- Conduct proactive sales calls, presentations, and attend trade shows to exceed revenue targets
- Collaborate with marketing to create events that drive fan engagement and revenue
- Develop long-term relationships within event planning and promotion communities
- Implement marketing strategies for stadium events and maintain event information on digital platforms
- Design client presentations and proposals using Digideck
- Work with creative teams to develop compelling marketing materials
- Generate demand for the ballpark as an event destination through targeted campaigns
- Compile and distribute event information effectively and timely
- Provide superior customer service before, during, and after events
- Produce post-event notes and detailed reports including proformas and profit/loss statements
- Manage event payments and track invoices
- Collaborate with stadium concessionaires on menu creation and catering
- Perform additional duties such as tarp pulls and game-related responsibilities.
